This week has been an expensive week of doctor appoints for me and Izzy. I have strep throat and Izzy has Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Yes, that's right my 8lb dog that lives inside and is on frontline has Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. This is weird for a number of reasons:
1) We like totally don't even like live in the Rocky Mountains....
2) I can't remember Izzy ever having a tick except for the first week I had her
3) It's February...are ticks even out this time of year?!?
4) It took us 6 months to figure out what was wrong with her!
So Izzy has to be on antibiotics for 3 weeks and that should get rid of it. The vet thinks it's from a tick she had when she was a puppy and that it has just been dormant since then. So hopefully Izzy's little throw up problem will be taken care of! Oh as a side note they have these new treats called pill pockets. You just stick the pill down in the hole and va la they eat it without knowing it! Izzy's favorite game is to find the pill in bread or cheese, but this she really just eats...such a great invention!
